Fitting Process

Each VanIsle BiKeFiT is conducted at Comox Bike Shop comoxbikeco.ca in Comox British Columbia, and includes a SUBJECTIVE EVALUATION, a physical BIOMECHANICAL EVALUATION and a DYNAMIC ANALYSIS using 2DMA Motion Capture software. Adjustments to the pedal-cleat interface, the saddle and the front end are made throughout the bike fit to maximize efficiency, performance and riding comfort. See below for more details.

Dynamic Analysis & Adjustments

  • Assess current position on bike & correlate with Biomechanical Evaluation

  • Evaluate foot position on pedal, knee position, hip rotation & pelvic obliquity

  • Evaluate & adjust pedal-cleat interface: fore-aft, rotation, medial/lateral, float

  • Ensure appropriate saddle width

  • Evaluate & adjust saddle fore-aft, tilt, & height

  • Assess & adjust hip, shoulder, elbow & wrist alignment & angles

  • Assess & adjust stack height & reach with spacers, stem length & rise

  • Assess & adjust bar rotation, & ensure appropriate bar width

  • Provide cyclist with BiKeFiT measurement summary
